Global Garage Sale is a family of eBay drop-off stores specializing in online consignment services for businesses, individuals and non-profit groups. We are looking for more people interested in opening their own eBay drop-off stores. Global Garage Sale has spent the last three years developing and refining our System and custom software, and are now proud to offer franchise business opportunities in the Lewiston-Auburn region. This region has sufficient population density to support one or more Global Garage Sale eBay drop-off stores. The New England area is rich in history and full of collectibles and antiquities that do very well on eBay.

Lewiston is located in southwest Maine, at the falls of the Androscoggin River, across from Auburn. It was settled in 1770 and officially incorporated in 1795. In 1809, Michael Little built a large wooden sawmill next to Androscoggin Falls. In 1836, local entrepreneurs predominantly the Little family and friends formed the Androscoggin Falls, Dam, Lock and Canal Company, "for the purpose of erecting and constructing dams, locks, canals, mills, works, machines, and buildings...and also manufacturing cotton, wool, iron, steel, and paper in the towns of Lewiston, Minot, and Danville". Lewiston's population boomed during these years. During the Civil War, high demand for textiles provided Lewiston with a strong industrial base. Starting in the 1870s, railroad connections to Canada brought an influx of French-Canadian millworkers, and the city's population has been largely Franco-American since. In May 2004, the City of Lewiston announced an ambitious plan for urban renewal near its downtown area.

A Global Garage Sale eBay drop-off store in the Lewiston-Auburn region will have the opportunity to sell antiques, collectibles, heirlooms, motor vehicles and other quality merchandise from local businesses and households. Your drop-off store will be in an exclusive territory, and will be a fun, convenient and secure way for local people to sell their items to the millions of eBay buyers around the world.
